About Us
Double black is the coffee shop inside Yardsale’s flagship retail space in Cole Valley, San Francisco.
More than a retail amenity, we designed the space to become the living room of the neighborhood. A place where locals run into their neighbors, visitors stumble in and stay longer than planned, and community builds naturally over good coffee and great conversation. Double Black is a third space rooted in hospitality; a place we hope you'll return to because of how it feels, not just what is served.

Beginning May 28th, our hours will be 7 am - 5 pm every day. Our Yardsale flagship store is open from 11 am - 7 pm.
We're located at 925 Cole Street, San Francisco, CA 94117, right next to Finnegan's Wake and Zazie.
We've partnered up with our friends at Linea Caffe in Potrero Hill and Bird & Bear in Cole Valley.
We sure do! Our giant chocolate chip cookie and our mochi muffin are both gluten free.
We do not currently have any vegan food items but all coffees and teas can be made vegan by ordering almond or oat milk.
We don't and never will!
We worked with Saltwater Bake Shop in San Francisco to custom develop our bakery items, including our giant chocolate chip cookie.

Double Black is owned by Yardsale Equipment Company which is owned by two friends and neighbors in Cole Valley.
