Job Description
We are looking for a Retail Associate to help assist with the daily operations of our new flagship store and coffee shop (called Double Black) in San Francisco, CA.
As a retail associate you will act as a go-to service employee for the store. That includes, but is not limited to, helping customers find the right gear, processing sales and returns, restocking and merchandising, and keeping the shop floor sharp.
Double Black acts as a community focal point in the Cole Valley neighborhood. We want to provide customer service that goes above and beyond, generating strong customer loyalty. The retail associate position will be an integral part to this success.
You Will
- Work alongside the General Manager to ensure daily operations success
- Help customers find what they need and share knowledge about our gear
- Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and well-merchandised for both customer benefit and that of other employees
- Handle sales, returns, and exchanges accurately
- Uphold our exceptional standard for hospitality and service
You Are
- A problem solver — working in a fast paced environment requires you to be quick on your feet and able to keep a level head
- Hospitality oriented, you will be the face of the Yardsale brand and a key contributor to the neighborhood community
- A team player willing to work together to achieve a common goal
- Adventurous — you spend your days outside with friends, travel to new places, and are excited to use Yardsale gear yourself
Must-Haves
- Retail or customer service experience
- Strong willingness to learn and lean in depending on the company's needs
- Live in San Francisco and be available to work onsite at our Cole Valley, SF store
- Available during weekends
- A love for the outdoors, adventure, and travel
